Jewellery Care

A jewellery polishing cloth or a cleaning solution designed exclusively for jewellery is a safe option, but make sure any solution is intended for the correct metal or gemstone.

Here are a few tips on some of the things you can do to keep it in great shape:

Keep it well away from perfumes, cosmetics and chemicals - especially chlorine. If it does come into contact with chemicals, rinse it in water immediately.

Lotions or perfumes should be applied before you put your jewellery on. Some gemstones are  vulnerable to acids and perspiration.

Make sure chains and necklaces are fastened when storing to avoid tangling.

Remove jewellery when you bathe and particularly when on the beach, in the sea and in chlorinated water.

When storing jewellery, please keep it away from sunlight, excessive heat or damp conditions. Ideally you should store it in a soft-lined case, so that your jewellery pieces don't rub or scratch one another.
Avoid wearing your jewellery while doing any strenuous physical activity or sports that can cause damage or scratches to your jewellery.

Take off your jewellery before going to bed to prevent any damage or tangling.

For long-term storage, use an airtight container with an anti-tarnish strip to prevent oxidation and tarnishing of your jewellery.

Avoid using harsh chemicals on your jewellery, as they can cause damage or discoloration to your precious metals and gemstones.

Be careful when handling your jewellery, as some gemstones can be brittle and prone to chipping or cracking if handled roughly.

Remove jewellery while cooking or cleaning.
